Terms of Service
These terms apply when you access or use Metricsjar. By using the service, you agree to them. If you use Metricsjar for an organisation, you confirm that you can accept these terms for that organisation.
The service
Metricsjar provides software for connecting data sources from your machine and publishing computed analytics to a hosted dashboard. Features may change as the service develops.
You are responsible for reviewing source configuration, metric definitions, and outputs before relying on them for business, financial, tax, legal, or other important decisions.
Your account
Provide accurate account information and keep access to your email account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@metricsjar.com if you believe an account has been compromised.
Your data and credentials
You keep ownership of the data you submit. You give us permission to host, process, copy, and display it only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service.
You are responsible for having the right to connect each source and process the resulting data. Do not upload secrets in dashboard fields. The local client is designed to keep source credentials on your machine, but you remain responsible for securing and rotating them.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- Break the law or violate another person's rights.
- Access accounts, sources, or dashboards without permission.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass security controls on the service.
- Upload malware or use the service to distribute harmful content.
- Resell or misrepresent the service without our written permission.
We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users, or third parties.
Paid access
Prices and included features are shown when you purchase. Taxes may apply. A one-time purchase covers the offering described at checkout; it does not guarantee that every feature or third-party integration will remain unchanged forever.
Third-party source costs, including cloud-query and API charges, are your responsibility and are not included unless we say otherwise.
Third-party services
Metricsjar can work with services such as Google Cloud, DataForSEO, App Store Connect, and RevenueCat. Their terms and availability apply separately. We are not responsible for changes, outages, data quality, or account actions caused by those services.
Service availability
We aim to keep Metricsjar reliable, but the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every metric will be complete or error-free.
Nothing in these terms excludes a guarantee, warranty, or remedy that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Metricsjar is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for Metricsjar in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Ending use
You may stop using Metricsjar at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, create risk for the service or other people, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that logically continue after termination, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits, will survive.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
