Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Metricsjar collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you when you use metricsjar.com and the Metricsjar client.

Information we collect

Account information. We collect the email address and authentication data needed to create and secure your account.

Dashboard data. We store the computed metrics, labels, source status, and configuration details needed to render and refresh your dashboards.

Source connections. If you enable hosted refreshes, we store the connection material needed for the sources you choose. This can include Google OAuth tokens, RevenueCat or DataForSEO API credentials, an App Store Connect private key, and source identifiers such as a project, dataset, app, or market.

Service data. We may collect basic request, error, security, and performance logs needed to operate and protect the service.

Contact messages. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message so we can read and respond to it.

Payment information. If you buy a paid offering, a payment provider processes your card details. We receive transaction and account information needed to record the purchase, but we do not store full card numbers.

Local and hosted connections

Metricsjar supports two connection modes. Local connections use credentials on your machine and publish computed dashboard rows. Hosted connections are optional and let Metricsjar refresh a dashboard while your computer is offline.

When you enable a hosted connection, the service encrypts the credential before storing it and decrypts it only in server-side refresh and connection-management jobs. Stored credentials are not displayed back in the product. Metricsjar asks providers only for the access needed by the integration, and the setup screen explains whether an account-level credential can cover more than one dashboard.

Both modes process commercially sensitive analytics, including traffic, keyword, revenue, retention, download, and product-event data.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide, secure, and maintain the service.
• Authenticate you and show the dashboards connected to your account.
• Diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• Read and respond to questions sent through the contact form.
• Process purchases and keep transaction records.
• Meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

When we share information

We may share information with service providers that host infrastructure, store data, process payments, send authentication messages, or help us monitor reliability. They may use it only to provide those services to us.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and protect against abuse. Deleting a site removes it from your active account and stops its scheduled dashboard refreshes. Disconnecting a provider removes the stored Metricsjar connection and disables the schedules that depend on it. You may also need to revoke the grant or key with the provider. Backup and security records may remain for a limited period.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted credential storage, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Use the least-privilege access described in each connection screen. Keep source keys out of dashboard labels and other ordinary fields. Disconnect and rotate a credential immediately if you believe it has been exposed.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will update the date at the top of this page and provide additional notice when a change materially affects your rights.
